convu for

organizations

Creating spaces for calm reflection and honest reckoning… without having to hire an army of executive coaches.

Convu creates spaces for people to listen, learn, and grow together. We believe that real change starts in the quality of our conversations, and that mindsets drive behaviors. Convu helps members of your organization shift from a “knower” to a “learner” mindset, with great results…

Peer Coaching is a Culture Intervention

Convu Peer Coaching Initiatives have reached 600 graduate students and researchers at Harvard University over the last six years and more than 100 professionals at Massachusetts General Hospital.

We’re excited to make peer coaching available in many more schools, workplaces and communities.

A typical Convu Peer Coaching Initiative (PCI) is a 10-12 week program that can include up to 400 participants from a variety of backgrounds.

Unlike coaching models that rely on external experts, a Peer Coaching Initiative leverages an untapped resource - peers.

How to Enable Adaptive Change

Adaptive change requires us to reflect on how and why we do things, and to modify the assumptions that guide our behavior. It requires us to gather our thoughts, reflect on our feelings, and consider our choices. Such reflection happens best in an environment of psychological safety combined with respectful challenge, but executive coaches are not the only ones who can provide such a space. With the right guidance and intentions, the vast majority of colleagues, classmates and community members can provide good listening to each other!

Your Participants will:

Be Thoughtfully Paired

Participants are matched with someone they feel comfortable working with (based on their confidential requests)

Set Up for Success

Before they start working with their partner, participants receive an orientation on how to be an effective peer coach (i.e. how to listen)

Grow Through Practice

Practice once a week with their partner (both in the role of coach and coachee), strengthening interpersonal skills like paraphrasing, validating and challenging respectfully.

Receive Ongoing Support

Receive support and further guidance through group meetings, led by a qualified facilitator.

Organizations we've worked with

Peer coaching offers a helpful structure for colleagues to hold space for their own and their partners' challenges, and provide support and encouragement. Through this process, peer coaching deepens self-awareness and self-efficacy for individuals, and builds empathy and understanding for others in the organization.
